The Mission of the Church in History

A study of the spread and impact of the church from its beginnings in Jerusalem to its global dimensions at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The course looks at historical events and significant characters, with a view to understanding the key movements and strategies which were pivotal to the mission of the church and its expansion throughout the world. Students will also study the globalization of the church and other trends currently changing the landscape of missions, as the context of their own future service.
